Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Porta Digital ("Porta", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform.
Information We Collect
- Account details you provide, such as name, email, phone number and business information
- Identity verification documents submitted for KYC purposes
- Transaction data, including bookings, orders, and wallet activity
- Device and usage data, such as app version, IP address, and general location
- Responses submitted through a Lite Form you fill out, this may include personal information collected on behalf of the form's creator, not just data about you as a Porta account holder
How We Use Information
We use your information to operate your account, process transactions, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve the Porta platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as payment processors and identity verification partners), or when required by law.

We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your account and data across the Porta platform.
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest for sensitive fields
- Access to production systems is restricted and logged
- Two-factor authentication is available and recommended for all accounts
- We run regular internal reviews of our systems for vulnerabilities
Reporting a Vulnerability

Account Security
Keep your password private, enable two-factor authentication, and never share one-time codes with anyone, Porta staff will never ask for your password or OTP.
KYC Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
Know Your Customer (KYC) verification helps us keep the platform safe and comply with applicable regulations. Verification is required before you can send payments, host paid events, sell on the Marketplace, or withdraw funds.
What's Required
- A valid government-issued ID (national ID, passport, or driver's license)
- A selfie for identity matching
- Proof of address for higher transaction limits or business accounts
Verification Levels
Basic accounts can browse and make limited purchases. Verified accounts unlock full transaction limits, selling, and hosting features. Business accounts may require additional documentation such as a certificate of registration.
As part of verification and ongoing account monitoring, the name and country on your KYC submission are checked against sanctions and other watchlists, see our AML Policy below. We may ask for updated or additional documents at any time to keep your verification current.
Payouts & Balance Holds
Last updated: July 27, 2026
When you earn money on Porta as a seller, event host, campaign owner, or Lite Web creator, it's credited to your Porta wallet right away so you can see it, but it isn't immediately withdrawable.
How the Hold Works
- New creator payouts (Lite Shop sales, booking payouts, Lite Fund donations, Lite Web tips and payments) go into a held balance first
- The hold is a standard chargeback-protection window, typically 3 to 7 working days from the date of the sale or payment (5 to 7 working days for Lite Fund donations)
- Once the hold period passes with no dispute, the amount automatically moves to your spendable balance, no action needed on your part
- If a chargeback or successful payment dispute lands on a held amount before it matures, that amount may be voided instead of released
This is a temporary hold on when funds become spendable, not third-party escrow, the money is already reflected as yours in the app the moment a sale or payment is confirmed. We may adjust hold-period lengths platform-wide within a reasonable range to respond to fraud and chargeback trends.
Withdrawals
Once funds are in your spendable balance, withdrawals are still subject to identity verification, our standard processing times, and the transaction monitoring described in our AML Policy below, which may delay, limit, or flag an individual withdrawal for review.
Payment Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Porta supports payment via bank transfer, debit/credit card, and your Porta wallet balance.
- All fees are disclosed before you confirm a transaction, there are no hidden charges
- Bank transfers may take a few hours to reflect depending on your bank
- Card and bank payments are processed by Flutterwave, a licensed third-party payment provider, and Porta does not store your full card number
- Wallet top-ups and withdrawals are subject to the limits shown in your account
- Money earned as a seller, host, or creator is subject to a temporary balance hold before it's withdrawable, see Payouts & Balance Holds
- Lite Fund donations include a service fee and a flat processing fee, both added on top of the amount you enter and shown before you confirm, the campaign is always credited your full donation amount
Failed Transactions
If a payment is deducted but a service isn't delivered (a failed bill payment, for example), it's typically reversed automatically within 24 to 48 hours. If it isn't, please report it with your transaction ID.
AML Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Porta maintains an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program designed to detect and prevent the platform from being used for illicit financial activity, including money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud.
Automated Transaction Monitoring
Withdrawals and other outbound wallet activity are automatically screened using signals such as transaction velocity, account age, and how a transaction compares to an account's own history. Transactions that score as higher risk are held for manual review before they're released, rather than being blocked outright, so a legitimate but unusual transaction isn't treated the same as a suspicious one.
Sanctions & Watchlist Screening
Accounts are screened against sanctions and other watchlists using the identity information provided during KYC verification. Any explicit match, along with any account or wallet address on our internal risk list from prior fraud or chargeback cases, is automatically routed to manual review, it cannot bypass this check. Where our screening coverage for a given case is reduced, for example because no live third-party sanctions data is configured, we log that explicitly rather than treating it as a clean result, and can be configured to require manual review by default until full coverage is in place.
- Transactions are monitored for unusual patterns and may be flagged for manual review before funds are released
- We may request additional information or documentation for certain transactions or accounts
- Accounts found to be involved in fraudulent or illicit activity will be suspended, and relevant authorities may be notified where required by law
We cooperate with regulators and law enforcement in accordance with applicable Nigerian and international law.
Service Providers & Restricted Transfers
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Porta uses independent, licensed providers for parts of the platform. Knowing who handles what helps you understand why some transactions are limited or refused.
- Crypto: Bitget powers crypto deposit addresses, withdrawals, trading and conversion
- Stocks: Bitget powers tokenized stock investing
- Fiat payments: Flutterwave processes card payments, bank transfers and payouts
These providers apply their own terms, limits and compliance checks. If a provider pauses or restricts a service, the matching Porta feature may be limited or unavailable until it is restored.
Restricted Jurisdictions for Crypto
Bitget prohibits citizens, residents and entities located in the following countries and regions from using its platform. Because crypto on Porta runs through Bitget, these restrictions apply to all crypto activity on Porta, including crypto deposits, withdrawals, trading, conversion and crypto payments, whether you are paying or receiving.
- Americas: United States (including all U.S. territories), Canada, Cuba
- Europe and Central Asia: Austria, France (including French overseas territories), Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, and the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine
- Asia and Middle East: Iran, Iraq, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, North Korea, Yemen
- Africa: Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Sudan
This list reflects the provider's published restrictions at the time of the last update and can change without notice. If you are in, or are connected to, a restricted jurisdiction, you must not use Porta's crypto features, and we may block or reverse crypto activity and restrict your crypto access where we identify a connection to one. Fiat services are not affected by this list.
Restricted Wallets, Platforms & Parties
Bitget does not allow deposits from, or withdrawals to, certain wallet addresses, exchanges, platforms, services and parties. It also restricts certain countries and regions. Because your crypto moves through Bitget, the same restrictions apply to your Porta account, and they can change without notice.
- Do not deposit to Porta from, or withdraw from Porta to, a wallet, platform or party that the provider restricts
- Wallets flagged by the provider's risk screening, including addresses linked to sanctions, fraud, mixers or other illicit activity, cannot be used
- Always confirm the address, the network and that the destination platform supports the asset before you send, as crypto transfers cannot be reversed
- A transfer involving a restricted source or destination may be rejected, delayed, held for review or returned, and network or provider fees may not be refundable
- Porta may freeze or return funds, and may close accounts, where a provider or the law requires it
Porta is not responsible for losses caused by sending to or from a restricted, unsupported or incorrect address or platform. If you are unsure whether a destination is supported, contact support before you send. See also our AML Policy and the Terms of Service.
